i am having this problem and it started a couple hours ago.
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/upload ... 875103.png i recently downloaded the new version of krita that was released on 5/29/2019 AFTER noticing this issue i still have the same problem. i do not have this problem when i draw with my mouse. only when I draw on the drawing tablet. i have a ugee m708 i downloaded the drivers from the support page but when i try to open the program it tells me the tablet is not connected, even though it is. and i first noticed this over a month ago. i just never cared because everything was working fine. so i dont know what is happening now. can anyone help me? |

it also seems like it has a dead zone.
nothing appears until i get to certain distance from the point where i first place my pen tip onto the drawing area. it does not matter how fast or slow i move the pen. it draws the line after a certain distance is traveled from the pen's starting point and then continues to work like normal until i lift up the pen off of the pad. then it starts again when i place the pen back on the pad. |

Do you, by any chance, have the stablizer active? Because that explicitely has a deadzone functionality (called 'delay' in tool options, with a toggle) for making sharp corners.
You can configure the stablizer in the tool options docker. |

this still happens when the tool options is set to none in brush smoothing. i found that stabilizer was set to basic. when i went to stabilizer it had the delay checked.
i unchecked it but it still giving me problems. the stabilizing works. but the deadzone is still there. is there like a general settings that could have this turned on? |

The problem started while you were using 4.1.7 (I assume) after some time of using 4.1.7 with no problems. The mouse is fine but the stylus drawing developed problems. This suggests something about the tablet/stylus has changed.
This could be a tablet/stylus hardware fault (possible) or a Windows 10 (I assume) update that has broken the tablet drivers in some way (this does happen). If it's a Windows update then you have to wait for a new Windows update to fix the breakage, assuming they even know about it. This happened to me with a well known and reliable Wacom tablet. If you downloaded and installed the latest (I assume) tablet drivers, the tablet control/setup utility can't see the tablet? That is a tablet/driver problem and I suggest that you go back to the previous driver which at least worked until the problem started. Did you fully uninstall the old tablet drivers and restart your PC then install the new tablet drivers and restart your PC again? This is recommended. Did you first disconnect your tablet USB cable before installing and running the new tablet drivers and then reconnect your tablet USB cable.? This is sometimes recommended. The krita manual https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_man ... light=ugee has this to say about the Ugee M708: "❌ Reported to be broken, connected strokes" That comment may be out of date because the krita developers can't keep up with all the many tablet/driver updates. |

Hi. I'm having the same issue. The mouse works fine, but when using a pen tablet there is a slight delay before the line suddenly jumps leaving a small straight line and picking up where your pen is. I do not think it is a pen tablet issue. The pen works fine on 3D Paint. It has to be a setting in Krita or an issue if the latest version. Any help would be much appreciated.
