So, I'm using Krita, and i was wondering if anyone knew how to make it so that i could have two layers visible, but have it be that i could only edit one of the two layers. for example, i'm trying to use this to create a pixilated map, i have the map image that i'm tracing in a layer behind the layer i'm using to draw the pixilated map, which is divided by a black grid i made. I want to have it so that i can see the original map, with the grid layer on top of it. and then be able to fill in the individual squares based on the map below. but every time i try to use the paint bucket to do this, it just ends up affecting the map below it and making it look all weird. i would like to be able to see the map below the grid, but not be able to affect it, only the grid layer. thanks!

Check the fill tool's tool options. There's a limit to current layer checkbox.
