Hi,
I am using a Surface Book 2 and downloaded Krita. Unfortunately I have the problem, that Krita dosen`t react to the tilt of the surface pen. My second problem is, that Krita dosen`t make a difference between the pen tip and the eraser at the top of the pen. In other applications like Onenote everything works fine. I installed Wintab drivers, but this dosen`t help aswell. Does anybody has an idea, what I can do to fix this? Thank you very much. |

There is no specific 'eraser tool' in krita, it uses a different method: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/g ... ght=eraser
The 'eraser end' of your stylus will be recognised as a different/alternate brush preset and you can use it to select one of the 'eraser' brush presets from the brush presets docker. These are the same as 'painting' brush presets except that they are set up to use the Erase blending mode, so they erase paint instead of putting it down. Another way to erase is to press/toggle the 'Set eraser mode' icon, (looks like an eraser, next to the blending mode selector on the toolbar). This will force any brush preset you are using to paint in eraser blending mode and so act as an eraser, with the texture/characteristics of the brush preset concerned. Somebody else may know about your problems with pen tilt but it is possible that whatever brush preset you're using isn't set up to use pen tilt as a contol input. Not many do as far as I can see, they mostly use pressure and drawing angle and maybe some randomness. This can be changed in the Brush Editor, which has many facilities: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/l ... h%20editor |
