Zoom issue on OS x

Sat Jun 29, 2019 8:28 pm
Hi all,

I just recently downloaded Krita on my Mac and am using a Wacom Intuos. I haven’t noticed many issues (besides my own unfamiliarity with the program), but I am having an issue with fluid zooming.

Whenever I’d tried ctrl+space or ctrl+click, instead of zooming in/out, the mouse is sort of paused or “frozen.” Has anyone else experienced this and knows what the issue may be? I’ve tried to find any tutorials that explains why this happens or how to fix it, but I’m still lost.

I appreciate any tips/advice!!

Zoom smoothness is achieved trought OpenGL acceleration. If that is enabled (Preferences -> Display -> Canvas acceleration)

If that is enabled the second thing to see is that you are using the correct gesture:

For Zoom:

Atl + Space, then mouse move up and down will zoom in and out.
Touchpad pinch: zoom out
Touchpad inverse pinch: zoom int
Pess, +/- for Zoom in/out
