Hi,
it's a spec requirements question. I found some info on the Krita's download page, but I am still unsure about the laptop we're about to purchase for our daughter's daily school classes. We have an opportunity to purchase a reasonable priced budget laptop as part of her school's rent-to-buy laptop program with good support service (incl. theft insurance). This service really appeals to us, since we expect to make use of this service at least some point during the course of her schooltime. Kids tend to be rough and reckless. ![]() It's a Dell Latitude 3190 2-in-1 which is a Win 10 x64 with 11,6 inch touch screen (1366 x 768), 4 GB RAM and Pentium N5000 CPU. This CPU is a quad core 1.1 GHz (2.6 GHz burst). Would this be enough to run Krita? As long she can draw simple sketches while at school (pen and ink using 2-3 layers). Nothing system demanding. At home she can work them out and go crazy with Krita's brushes on our MacBooks with Wacom tablets. Ragards, Eelco. |

It really is on the slow side, though for very simple work it might just suffice. The real problem is the screen though. This is extremely low-res, and would limit her in everything she does, even if it would be just writing a bit of text.

Thank you for your response.
Glad to hear it will run. I don't even have an idea what such resolution is like anymore. Too spoiled with retina displays for so long. ![]() I think I can re-create the resolution on my Surface Pro tablet and let her test Kreta on it to see if its workable. Thanks again. Fijne dag. Eelco. |
