How to configure Krita 4.0 ?

Sun Jul 14, 2019 2:33 pm
Hello!

I installed Krita some weeks ago but I never really set up the program. Watching some tutorials I've always seen that once you open Krita you can go to settings - configure Krita - and then adjust the settings according to your demands (like Performance, Color Management, Display etc.). Unfortunately I don't see this opinion available in the 4.0 version. Under settings there are only this options:
    Manage Resouces...
    Configure Toolbars...
    Toolbar Shown >
    Show Dockers
    Dockers >
    Themes >
    Switch Application Language...
    Active Author Profile
Therefore, do you know where I can find this options? I would really like to tweak some of them in order to optimize my performance. I'm working on a macOS (High Sierra).

Like all other applications on macOS, the settings menu entry is in the Application menu.

In the menubar, you will see the apple logo, the name of the application that is running, the menus, and then other stuff. The application name isn't just decoration, it's a menu all by itself, and it's called, not unreasonably, the "application menu". It contains the About entry, the Preferences entry, some other stuff and the Quit menu entry. This is the same for every application on macOS.
