Hello all,
I've got a question regarding the pixel/inch size in krita vs. other programs. When I create a file in krita and want the print size to be 12 inches and the resolution at 300 dpi, it's creating a 3600x3600 px file. In inkscape and other programs this would be 1152*1152 px. When I import a krita-created png to Inkscape, it is much bigger then 12*12 inches. Can anybody help me how to handle file sizes in krita, so that I can know at which size I really create the files? Thanks a lot! |

Hello,
i think 1152*1152px = 96dpi not 300. at 300DPI, it is 3600*3600px https://www.pixelcalculator.com/index.p ... culate+#a1

In Inkscape, in Edit -> Preferences -> Input/Output -> Bitmaps, it might be set to overide the file resolution and use the set Inkscape default resolution which is 96 dpi (according to my Inkscape installation). You can change this default resolution and/or set it to pay attention to the file resolution. I don't know if krita includes the dpi resolution when you Export as a .png with metadata included in the export options. You can find out with some simple tests.

Hi, thanks for answering ! I was confused as Inkscape shows a 12x12 inch file (when changing the units) as 1152 x 1152px. Now I can figure this out!
