Hello,
I have been working on this project for a very long time, and I saved the fie last night all was normal, but today when I tried to open it, krita is giving me the error "file not a valid krita file". I have run a fix on it, I've done all i can think to do, but it still will not open. the fie is 64 mb, so all the info is there, but just wont open. Is there anyway to fix this? In Windows 10, if I try to unzip your file it tells me that it's empty which is obviously not strictly true. In Linux, the archive manager tells me that there is a header error and then gives a list of the many components of the file. It seems that some kind of fundamental header error has made the entire file unopenable according to the .zip specification.

What method did you use to 'fix' the file? Do you have a copy of the file before you tried to fix it?
Do you have the backup file? It will have a .kra~ extension and you may need to set your file explorer to show hidden files to see it. If so, that should contain the previous state, before you last worked on it, and can be renamed as a .kra file for use.

I'm having this issue too and have tried to run it through a zip file fixer to no avail. This is an important part of my end of year prject for year twelve design and if someone could help me out ASAP I would die from happiness

I've checked the file, and it's filled with zeroes. This usually happens if you use Windows and the computer is shut down improperly just after saving the file. It means this file is not recoverable. There should be backup files, though, which end with a ~ if you have saved the file more than once. See https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/autosave.html
