As in the title. Does Xp-Pen Star G640S work with krita?

We get more complaints about xp-star tablets than about any other brand. It seems their drivers are really inconsistent in quality -- and do remember this: if a tablet doesn't with krita on windows it is _never_ a matter of Krita not supporting the tablet.

There are two driver types for handling tablets in Windows, Windows Ink and Wintab, and Krita supports both types correctly. Problems are _always_ caused by bugs in the tablet drivers or drivers getting broken by a Windows update.

We have much fewer complaints about Huion, and Huion is aware of Krita, has donated test hardware and has a DeviantArt forum for helping Krita users, so I would recommend Huion over XP-Pen.
