I have been using a wacom bamboo tablet (CTH-670) and krita on my desktop computer for almost a year now with no issues. I just got a new HP laptop and I set up and installed my tablet driver and got it working just fine. I wanted to program my pen buttons though and I usually set my bottom button to scroll so that I can easily zoom in and out. I set it up on my tablet preferences to "pan/scroll" but for some reason whenever I try to scroll in krita, krita thinks I'm trying to paint. So it will scroll a tiny bit while also drawing giant streaks across my screen wherever my pen is. Basically, I want to set it up so that when I press this button, krita will zoom in and out but it wont paint in the process. I also tried googling this but it seems like everyone has exactly the opposite issue (where they can scroll but not paint).

Set the button to middle mouse button (which is also the default with the wacom tablets I've tested) and it will pan.

I went back on my old computer and tried updating krita. My old computer worked fine before but after I got the new version of krita it gave me the same issue my new computer had. I also tried copying the old krita files onto my new computer to see if there was some setting I could fix but it still didnt work. I've been messing with the shortcuts and the settings under "configure krita" and I did try changing it to the middle mouse button but it still does exactly the same thing. I tried installing older versions of krita and still no changes. Can you send me a screenshot or something? What setting needs to be changed exactly?

hi, you can use "ctrl+space" and moving the stylus to zoom in and out.

Thanks a lot! That works perfectly. I'd like to change the shortcut if I can find where to change it, but this will work for now. If anyone knows how to change the "ctrl+space" shortcut please let me know, otherwise, I'll just get used to using the shortcut instead of the button.

yes, you can change it in "Settings > Configure Krita > Canvas Input Settings" and then in "Zoom canvas".
