So I've been drawing a lot, tried out some new brushes, made some of my own, so today i thought of making a new brush preset, and so I did.
I had some trouble with '' [Star] My Favorites '' not being deleted and replaced with my home made ones, so read that i should just delete it online, and so i did. Then I made a new '' My Favorites '' And the second I did that, this happened https://gyazo.com/cd607378c5f3c43abad7800cddc36c73 All of my home made brushes, downloaded ones, and remade ones have been deleted, I can't remove any of the new Texture preset tabs, and Krita is lagging like a mad man. I'll try to delete and reinstall Krita, but I've already done that once by now. If anyone know how to either make a '' Preset tab '' with my own home made brushes, without breaking Krita Or how to resolve this Bug (I hope) Please do respond, I really want to get drawing, but it's hard with 5-8 Fps a second. Thanks a lot for those who'll use some time to respond. Thor. |

You say, "I had some trouble with '' [Star] My Favorites '' not being deleted and replaced with my home made ones,..." How did you try to delete it?
(You don't need to delete an existing tag, you can create a new tag, such as 'Thor favorites' and add that tag to any brush presets you want.) You say, "...so read that i should just delete it online, and so i did." How did you delete it? What exactly did you do? Before you do anything, I recommend that you make backup copies of your config files: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... les-stored and also your resources folder, which may be quite large if you've been adding new bundles and brush packs etc.: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... ces-stored Uninstalling and reinstalling krita will have no effect on this particular problem because the look/feel/behavior/resources of krita are stored and maintained in those configuration files and the resources folder and all these are not affected by reinstalling krita. This enables you to restore every aspect of krita from a previous backup in case you end up with this sort of problem. I know this is too late to help you solve the current problem but it will be very useful for you in the future. It's very likely that all your 'new' brushes and brush presets still exist in the resources folder but for some reason they have been blacklisted (which is what 'deleting' them does) or maybe there has been some corruption of some of the files that control this sort of thing. Please try the following but only after you've made a backup copy of your resources folder: Close krita and go into your resources folder and then the 'tags' folder and delete the file called kis_paintoppresets_tags.xml Start krita and you should find that any brush preset tags you've created have gone and that brush preset tags are back to how they originally were and all your created brush presets are back. If that doesn't work, close krita and go to the resources folder and delete the file called kis_paintoppresets.blacklist. Start krita and all your brush presets, including any you may have deleted should be back as they were. If none of that works, something more drastic may be needed but please try what I suggested. |
