I used to have the older version of Krita installed on my computer, but because the program continued to shut down, mainly when I was using it to animate or move frames, I found myself downloading the 4.2.5 Version. I have 4 GB of RAM and I'm wondering if this could be a memory issue. However, that seems odd to me because I have used Krita for around six months now, with no problems, and it's been the best drawing/ Animating program I've used so far.
My problem of the program continually shutting down did not change, and I also found that now there seemed to be a problem with the drawing feature. I cannot draw a circle, as the program will sometimes not sense me moving my pen on my tablet, and sometimes it will sense it, but not after a perfectly straight line in drawn. I was able to draw using my mouse. I figured out that this is a problem only with this program, as I was able to use several other programs and a few sites. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... JYdOtT9ng_ |

If I open that Google Drive link, it asks me to log in with a Google account. That hasn't happened before so I wonder if it's a new security measure by Google. Someone who can log in with a Google account will be needed to look at that.
Which Operating System are you using? Which version was the 'older' version of krita? Which drawing tablet are you using? Have you tried reinstalling your tablet drivers or downloading and installing the latest driver from the tablet manufacturer? If your OS is Windows 10, that occupies about 1.2GB of RAM as it does its job and krita 4.2.5 occupies about 1.1 GB of RAM to do its job before it starts using RAM for your image storage. This leaves about 1.7GB of RAM available for your image storage. (This is assuming that you don't have any other applicatioms running at the same time, such as a browser or music player, etc.) How much RAM does your animation use? This information is shown on the status display at the lower right of the main krita window. That status bar also displays a sliding coloured indicator if you use significant amounts of allocated RAM. By default, krita sets itself an image RAM allocation of 50% of total RAM which is a bit high for a 4GB system so if your animation is using over 1.5 GB of RAM then it may help to reduce krita's allocation to 1.5GB or a bit less. |

I think I figured out my shutting down problem. I'm just going to have to use smaller file sizes from now on, but I'm still having the problem with trying to draw. The straight line before what I actually drew happens on every single brush, and the only way I can make it stop is setting my brush setting to stabilizer, however, the stabilizer is very laggy. I use a Huion tablet, and when I use the same tablet on other program, the same thing doesn't happen, which is why I'm assuming it's a problem with Krita itself.
Hopefully this link will show you the problem: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kZF ... sp=sharing |

That link does work for me. That straight line that jumps from the start of a curve to part way along the curve has been seen before. I can't remember what the problem or the solution is.
Have you tried reinstalling or updating your Huion drivers? Someone who knows about this particular problem may come along to give advice soon. |

I updated the drivers, but the same problem is still happening.
