Appimage requirements?

Wed Sep 04, 2019 12:55 am
Hi there, I've just upgraded from Krita 3.something to 4.2.5 with an appimage.

When I execute I get this
Code: Select all
./krita-4.2.5-x86_64.appimage: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.21' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_krita-mSy9Aj/usr/bin/../lib/libkritaui.so.18)
<snip>
./krita-4.2.5-x86_64.appimage: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.9' not found (required by /tmp/.mount_krita-mSy9Aj/usr/bin/../lib/libQt5Concurrent.so.5)

I believed appimages hold everything so this kind of messages and a failing appimage execution isn't expected? Is there something I can do to get Krita 4.2.5 running?

Sounds like your version of Linux is too old, like CentOS 7 or Ubuntu 14.04.
