I am a beginner in digital painting an I was drawing on Krita when I realized that I only can choose shades of grey. Can you help me to fix this?

You're in a grayscale image, this often happens when you scanned in an image and requested the scanner to scan it in grayscale. Image->convert image color space, and there select 'rgb' from the color model to make it a full color image.
