I was working on a drawing when it randomly stopped showing brush strokes. I tried just tapping the outline selection tool to deselect anything I may have somehow selected because that's happened before, but it still wouldn't show my brush strokes. Then I tried to select something and none of the selection tools are working either. It's only on this one document. Everything is working perfectly fine on all my other documents. How can I fix this?

The small square with the circle inside it at the bottom left indicates that you have a selection active. Can you do Select -> Deselect to see if that fixes the problem?

It says there's nothing to deselect.

Oh and I don't know if this matters but every brushstroke and selection I attempt to do is documented in history

Do you, by any chance, have a layer at the top that obscures all the others?
