I've recently enabled the cursor position display on the status bar by adding EnablePositionLabel=true to the kritarc configuration file. This works well and is useful. However, it does not update during operations. It would be very useful if it did this, especially when drawing a line/polygon/rectangle or making a selection.

Is there a configuration option to do this or do I need to raise a wishlist bug report?

There's already a wishlist bug for display of co-ordinates and other information but this is for a more general and wide ranging on-canvas display: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412347

I'm surprised that that even works... Since we intentionally hid this feature, I'd prefer not to have bug reports about it. It would be best to add a note to that wish item, because if we ever start implementing that, we'd run into the update problem, too.
