Hey Guys!
When I launch Krita on my laptop it freezes on startup screen (welcome screen) almost 50% of the times. I can see the "news" window, the "new file", "load file" buttons, but I can't press anything. It is like having a static image open. I can't even close Krita, so I have to force it to close with task manager. I already tried unninstalling Krita several times. I even whipped clean the computer from any Krita data (app data - roaming - local, etc) the last time I unninstalled it. I thought it was working fine, since it didn't freeze for a couple of days, but yesterday the same thing happenned. And the only way to try to launch it normally is by restarting the computer. I am running on: Windows 10 (updated) I7 16gb ram Nvidia Geforce 940mx Intel integrated graphics card (if I am missing some info I will put later today) I don't know if this somehow is related to opengl, but I remember I already tried to update my graphics card and the issue persisted. I have been trying and giving up several times using Krita during this year... But now I want to try and solve this with the help from you guys, from the community. So I will be very glad if someone knows something I could try. Thank you very much in advance!! ![]() Cheers! |

* Are you using sandboxie or any other 3rdparty "security" software?
* What happens if you start Krita as administrator? * What happens if you start Krita in compatibility mode? (This is a windows feature) * What happens if you start an older version of Krita, or the latest nightly build? * What happens if you start Krita explicitly on one or the other GPU? |
