Hi,
I've had that frustrating problem already a few times, twice already today. So here it is: I've been working on a drawing for about 30 min to an hour and I haven't saved anything yet. For no reason, Krita will just disappear from my screen and shut itself. When I go to open it again, it doesn't suggest to open the previous drawing, meaning I've lost about an hour of work. This only happens with Krita (never with Photoshop or any others). I'd please like to know why it does that and how I can prevent it from happening again. Thanks for your help. Sophie |

Hi,
I recommand you to save the file directly after creating it, so you'll have autosave file just in case... have a look here : https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/autosave.html

Hi Sophie,
Krita crashing that often is not normal and a sign of something being broken on your computer. Of course you should save more often, but Krita's autosave should have saved your work, by default it saves every 15 minutes. If would be best to make a bug report on bugs.kde.org and answer the following questions: * Are you using a computer with a AMD Ryzen CPU? * Do you have any antivirus or security software installed other than Windows Defender? * Which version of Krita are you using? * In %LOCALAPPDATA% you will find a krita.log and a kritacrash.log file. Please attach those files to the bug report. With that information in hand we should be able to figure out what's up. |
