So i put in a music for an audio. When i put the music in the audio the music was all laggy. It was skipping beats. It was like i had almost no internet and tried to play a video on YouTube. I'm not sure if i'm allowed to add music in the audio. I want the music to go smoothly. I'm new to this a little so if this sounds simple please help me.
Also how would i use a glow tool in Krita. The only thing for glow tool is a bucket for glow but i just want to do the outside edges. If possible can you help me with this as well. Thank you |

Play Speed is set to 1.00, right?
Audio playback can cause some trouble, unfortunately. If I'm not mistaken WAV files should have the best compatibility in Krita, so if your file is MP3 or other format you could try converting it to WAV and pointing to that one in Krita. About a glow tool / effect, it depends what you're trying to achieve. If you need a glowing outline around the opaque parts of a layer, you can set a Layer Style from the right-click menu of a layer in the Layers docker. Activate Outer Glow (and Inner Glow if needed) and play with the settings. Blend modes like Screen, Linear Dodge or Addition work well for a glow effect. It works the same as in Photoshop, so you can follow tutorials about layer styles based on Photoshop, too. If you want to make brush strokes that look like they're glowing, you can also set the blending mode of the brush to Screen or something similar (click on the top toolbar where it says Normal) - and set the blending mode of the layer as well, if you're working on separate layers. I would also recommend looking in the brush settings (press F5 or the brush settings button in the top toolbar), there is a tab called Painting Mode that lets you switch between Wash and Build up mode. Build up can create cool effects when using one of those additive blend modes on the brush: https://imgur.com/a/c3Or7ik |

Edit: No, I couldn't really find a good site that directly extracts WAV from video and doesn't have a tiny file size limit. You could either install a converter program, or use VLC if you happen to have it - Media > Convert / Save (Ctrl+R), choose your video and press the convert button, then for the Proflie choose Audio - CD (which uses WAV).
I can't promise that any WAV will work flawlessly, the audio playback system in Krita might require a general overhaul at some point. |

I'm also having this problem with Krita (Windows), with both mp3 and wav files. Audio playback is basically unusable at the moment. (My computer is powerful enough, and I use other programs that can handle the load without choppy audio.)
I notice that Krita doesn't give you the option to select which audio device you want to use (I have a dedicated audio interface), or even allow ASIO4all, so it's probably using a high latency Windows driver, which might account for the choppiness. Does anyone know whether a fix is likely in the near future, or should I try looking at software alternatives for animation? (It's a shame, as I really love the drawing in Krita.)
Yes please! ![]() |
