export animation

Sun Nov 10, 2019 2:00 pm
Good morning all !

I just installed Krita but I can not export my animations. :-\
The application tells me that I need to install FFMPEG, which I did, I followed tutorials to be sure to do it correctly, but even after that, I still can not export :'(
I need your help !

I assume that you're using Windows? I assume that you installed version 4.2.7.1

You don't 'export' an animation to video, you 'render' it using File -> Render Animation. Did you do that?

The best place to get FFMPEG is https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ (for Windows) and you need the 4.2.1 Windows 64-bit Static build (unless you have a 32-bit PC then you need the 32-bit build).

Did you get that one?

In theory, you can unzip it and put it anywhere but initially it's easier and safer to unzip it and leave it in your Downloads folder.

Please check all that and read https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_man ... ffmpeg#id2 , if you haven't already done so, to make sure you've followed all the instructions.

If you can post a screenshot of the 'Render Animation - Krita' window, that would be very useful too.

When you do try to Render it, set the Video Location to be in your C:users/{your name}/ area where you usually have documents or pictures.

You need to provide more information about what you're doing and what happens.
