Hello, I am new to Krita. I am moving from GIMP to Krita because 2.10 sucks.

I am creating a height map. I have this river mask, which needs to be coded as such red - river id, green - path id and blue - pixel/node type. I need to paint each color band separately. Is Separate Image the only way to do this? I can't seem to do it using the channels controls.
