Dockers are way too big!

Thu Dec 05, 2019 10:01 pm
Here's an image of what i'm talking about (https://imgur.com/a/9Ab4DZ1). I tried adjusting them with the sliders but they won't go back any farther. The screen I'm using is fairly small so what I'm imagining is happening is that the docker's minimum size limit is too big for my screen. Have the dockers be this big makes animation nearly impossible. Is there anyway I can adjust the minimum size limit to make them smaller? I don't really need them to be that big my screen has a good resolution so I can see everything fine if it was smaller.

Also I have seen other post about this issue but none of the replies seemed to have solved it.

No, the onion frame dockers is not meant to be in the location where you placed it. Move it somewhere else, then it can be smaller.

Since you only vaguely indicate that you've seen other posts, but not what you actually have tried to change, I cannot help you with further advice. I assume you have seen https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... -my-screen .

I have a 1280 x 1024 monitor and the Default layout looks quite good for me. As well as Boudewijn's advice, I'd suggest that you look into your OS screen scaling settings. Your Toolbar at the top (under the menu) is too big and extends beyond the right edge of the screen.

The Animation Curves docker has been crunched so that it overlays the Layers and Brush Presets dockers which have been overlaid somehow. I've never seen anything like that before. What kind of graphics hardware do you have?

If you want to do animations, I'd recommend that you read this: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/animation.html and the manual in general.
When you get your screen scaling solved you'll be able to drag/position/dock your dockers into a sensible and useful arrangement.
(You don't need the Onion Skins docker unless you're changing the settings/properties of the onion skins. After that you can close it if required.)
