Any chance the Bionic package can be fixed soon on the PPA?

I use the kritalime PPA to keep Krita stable up-to-date but the latest release for 18.04 LTS of Ubuntu seems to have some errors building thus, the latest version I can install from there is 4.2.7.1

I was just hoping I can get the attention of anyone who can probably fix this issue, thanks in advance!

I don't think that the kritalime PPA is maintained by the krita development team and I'd assume that you need to contact 'samoilov-lex' in some way to get progress on this. The Ubuntu forums may know about this.
For now, if you want 4.2.8 I'd suggest that you download the appimage from https://krita.org/en/download/krita-desktop/ and use that.

Oh okay, I thought it being linked on Krita's website meant otherwise

I was hoping I could get a hold of him here

It's official, but not maintained, if that makes sense? It's the same with flatpak. Only appimages are made by Krita team. (Also appimages are recommended because of buggy Qt, which was patched for appimages and Windows and Mac versions).

Alright, thanks for the clarification!
