Canvas-Only mode problem

Sat Dec 14, 2019 11:53 am
Hi,

I have a problem that is very frustrating while working with Krita. (I am using 4.1.7 version on win10)

Every time i leave Canvas-only mode with Tab key the search bar in Brush presert gets activated (blinking cursor).
My workflow is that I often want to Pan canvas using spacebar after leaving Canvas-only mode and instead of activating Pan Tool Krita puts spaces in the Brush presets search bar. This was doing that in previous versions.
Is there a way to disable this search somehow or change some option so it won't get activated after leaving Canvas-only mode unless I specifically click on the search field?

Thank you.

Is there a reason why you're using 4.1.7 ?
Can you try this with the Windows portable zip package for version 4.2.8 to see if that still has the problem?

Yes there are few reasons I continue using 4.1.7 the biggest one being change to the drag-drop system. It affected my workflow in a big way.
I have talked with devs, but it seems like it will not be changed the way it was before, unfortunately to me.

I have checked the newest version and the search bar do not activate after leaving canvas-only mode. Thank you. Maybe it's time to get adjust to new version after all...
