i use krita and it constantly crashes now, it says krita not responding, also importing frames doesnt work it just loads them constantly i can see the tiny image in the layer box but nothing happens
is there a fix? i animate and older versions dont work for animation and only the newest build and the one before it work and they both have this problem.

Some details would be useful and helpful:

Which operating system are you using?
When you say "the newest build and the one before", do you mean 4.2.8 and 4.2.7.1?

When you say "it constantly crashes now", do you mean every time you run it or every time you do something in particular?

When you say "it says krita is not responding", what is 'it'? Do you mean krita itself or some operating system level notification?

As for "older versions don't work for animation", my experience is that they've all worked from 4.1.1 onwards so it's puzzling as to why they don't work for you.

You say "importing frames doesn't work", then you say "it just loads them constantly ..... but nothing happens." What did you expect to happen?
What commands/functions do you use to import frames?

A link to a full .png screenshot, including the Layers docker and the Timeline docker, would be very useful to see along with a clear description of what you did just before the screenshot was taken.
