Design and Implementation Constraints

Wed Jan 08, 2020 12:43 pm
hello!Need to ask a question for a project i'm doing about Krita.Would it be possible to mention any items or issues that will limit the options available to the developers. These might include: corporate or regulatory policies; hardware limitations (timing requirements, memory requirements); interfaces to other applications; specific technologies, tools, and databases to be used; parallel operations; language requirements; communications protocols; security considerations.

This is all a bit weird... But let's try

* corporate or regulatory policies;

All code in Krita must be GPL v3 compatible. Every scrap. All tools we use must be free and open source, except for some web services we don't control and cannot replace.

* hardware limitations (timing requirements, memory requirements);

None

* interfaces to other applications;

We support OpenRaster

* specific technologies, tools, and databases to be used;

To work on Krita, you will have to use Qt.

* parallel operations;

I have no idea what you mean with that

* language requirements;

You need to know English to participate, and C++ and Python to code.

* communications protocols;

No idea what you mean with that.

* security considerations.

No, Krita is not security-critical.
