I was recently trying to work on a project that requires the us of a .tga file. However when trying to open the file in Krita only the alpha channel shows up with the rest being transparent. Is there a way to fix this?

Could be a bug, though there isn't an open bug against TGA right now. It's something that doesn't get used a lot Could you file one on bugs.kde.org and add a sample file to test with? Please also note which application producede the TGA file.
