Ive been working with Krita for about 5 Years now. Ive never had any huge problems which weren't my fault.

Lately Krita has started corrupting my files. This even sprung over to a different PC when trying to see if the corrupt file worked elsewhere.(After trying to open my file other Krita files on that PC stopped working.)
After saving a file (In my case it was always animation files) they can't be opened after closing Krita. The program starts up and then just closes again.
This has destroyed countless hours of work at this point.Im tired of not knowing if my work will be saved properly.Im trying to make dozens of copies per poject but this can't be the solution.I never know what causes the corruption.

I have no ide how to restore corrupted Krita files. If that's what's happening.
I tried renaming it to a zip file.It worked but there was nothing in the contents that helped me get my work back.

i hope someone can help me with this. I have found no real answer to this problem yet. :(

Are you now working with version 4.2.8? If so, try going back to version 4.2.7.1 to see if that makes them work again.
There was a bug that caused this if you had onion skins turned on with animated layers.
The Stable version should not have this particular problem and 4.2.9 should not have it.
