Full disclosure, I'm brand new to Krita & am trying to avoid PS. GIMP was not meeting my artistic needs.
I've created my image for a tee that is on a transparent background in Krita, then have exported (also tried save instead of export) as a PNG to preserve the transparency. The PNG file appears to have a grey background, not transparent. What am I doing wrong, or is this an inherent part of Krita? Thanks! |

Are you sure you checked "Preserve alpha channel (transparency)" when exporting? The default fill for transparency if you have this checkbox unchecked is grey, so it seems plausible.

Definitely preserved alpha.
I found a work around. The original background was a tanish color. I used the similar color selection tool, then bucket filled the selection with white. I set white to alpha, then adjusted the threshold of the alpha to completely kill all white. Seems to be working on my mockups, we shall see what happens when I print. Thanks! |

Thanks. I was looking for a solution for the same. This seems to be working for me. |
