Hi! I am new to Krita.
I use Photoshop a lot for my work, but now I need to use Krita for a specific project. I thought that Krita would be similar to Photoshop, and it is... except that there are differences and I am quite baffled just trying to create a document with a few layers! I imported a background (jpeg image) to put at the bottom. Now I created some layers with separate elements on top of this background and I can't see all the layers at the same time! Either I need to click on one layer and it appears, and if I click on another one, the first one disappear!!! ![]() Or in another case, I had some layers with elements on them, but their backgroud was all white instead of transparent. Help! I can't work at all and I need to find out before tomorrow! ![]() Thanks to anyone who can help! |

Which operating system and which version of krita are you using?
Can you post a link to a full screen screenshot (ideally .png) of the entire krita window with the Layers docker showing? How did you 'create some layers with separate elements on top of the background'? If you create a new layer by clicking the '+' icon at the bottom left of the Layers docker then you get a new transparent paint layer so anything you paint on it will be visible through any other new paint layers you create on top of it, unless you've filled those layers with some kind of opaque full content. |

Sounds like you enabled "isolate layer" mode. Right-click any layer and make sure that mode is turned off.
