Good evening.
I've got a question for Krita, it's kind of something I've always wondered about all artist software. Is it possible with the Brush to create strokes that don't increase Opacity? Say I'm using a brush that has only 25% opacity, is it possible in one of the settings to make it stay at 25% and each concurrent overlapping stroke to -not- add opacity? I would find it amazingly useful on my project tonight. |

Not sure what you want to achieve, but sounds like you want the "Wash" painting mode basically to apply not just to the dabs of a single stroke but across strokes?
I don't think there is a blending mode that works exactly like this right now, closest I could find is the "Greater" blending mode. But that way you can't paint over with a different color of the same opacity. However for altering color without affecting alpha, there's of course the "Preserve Alpha" toggle, which is very useful to tint semi-transparent parts without affecting opacity. |

Yeah I believe I'm going for a wash type effect. I have a grayscale layer (over a white layer) and I want to wash all across the picture (landscape) in a uniform way, then a similar different opacity thing in other spots to try and cut down on a scribbled look. Thanks for the the preserve alpha for tinting tip its a good tip idea for my next step.
