Krita isn't saving my drawings at all. Whenever it tries to autosave, it says at the bottom that the file could not be opened for writing, and whenever I click the manual save button, nothing happens and the drawing stays open. No error message, nothing.
When I try to exit the image, it prompts me with the "[File name] has been modified. Do you want to save it?" message. When I click "Yes," the message closes and the file stays open. Meanwhile, if I click "no," the message and file both close without saving as normal. I'm not sure what they're called, but the buttons on the top of the window (file, edit, are completely missing. This makes it impossible to save my drawings as PNG images when I'm finished. I've closed and reopened the program and restarted my laptop, and I don't know how to fix this. I haven't seen this happening to anyone else, either. I use Ubuntu on Linux, if that helps anything. |

How long have you been using krita and how long has this been happening?
Have you recently updated to version 4.2.9? (If so, did previous versions work ok for you?) Which desktop environment are you using? Are you using the installed package from the Ubuntu repository or are you using the appimage? I suggest that you try the appimage from here: https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/4 ... 4.appimage if you're not already using it. (You’d have to enable execution permissions in the file Properties for it to run and it will run independently of your installed Ubuntu repository version but it will share the same settings and resources so you shouldn’t notice any difference in look/feel etc.) |
