While drawing in krita a power blackout occurred and when i powered my PC back on i had come to see my file unable to be opened.
https://imgur.com/a/qaZNRQo How would i go about salvaging this work? Layer2 is available and i can get the preview but its impossible to continue working from such a low resolution. Thank you! |

Check https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... le-anymore for tips. More importantly, don't disable autosave and use versioned saves to keep older states around.
Note that with 4.2.9 even if the blackout happens while saving, it's theoretically impossible to break a file: which version of Krita are you using? |

After restarting my computer a few times it i found a backup in /Owner/ ! Either i was blind enough to miss it using the search feature (swear i have win10 set to search all ) or after restarting a couple times it ended up in there.
Thank you for the quick reply and for working on this program! Without Krita i'm not sure i would of got into digital art : ) I was using 4.2.6 but after reading through the post you linked i will promptly switch to the latest. Thank you again ![]() |

The real latest is 4.3.0-beta1: https://krita.org/en/item/first-beta-of ... -released/ -- it's really stable, even though it's a beta.
