Just installed the Krita Android App on my ChromeOS Pixelbook. It looks great and is going to be super useful in the ChromeOS world.
One problem I'm having though, is when I try to open an image from my local files I get an error saying "The chosen file's location could not be found. Does it exist?" This seems a bit cryptic, as I just navigated to the file, to open it, so it seems that the location obviously exists. I can't see any other way to open an existing image. Any suggestions on what's going on or how to solve it? |

I'm afraid, this part was written by me in a very unusual circumstances. I will try to fix it hopefully for our next release.
What you can do now: I am thinking that you are using a shortcut path to the file, not actually navigating to it and opening. Eg. Using "Downloads" from the sidebar. You could press the "<Device name>" in sidebar and then navigate to it. Hopefully that should work. |

Hm, I don't see any device name in the sidebar of the open dialog on my pixelbook

Click Three dots on top right of the screen and then press "Show Internal Storage". "Device Name" should be visible now |

Ah, that's present on Android, but not on ChromeOS.

Add me to the list experiencing the same issue. I look forward to the update that gets this resolved so I can give this program a try. Thank you for bringing it to Android/ChromeOS

Is there an estimate on when this may be fixed? Thanks

I have found the fix, so I'll submit the patch today. But, I still need to take care of some minor nuances, before that

Any news about this issue? I have the same problem and I want to use Krita on my Chromebook!
It seems to be a great replace of Gimp (which I've been using last 15 years instead of PS). Yes, I already know that you can use Gimp on Chrome OS via Crostini, but my C302CA still doesn't has support to run Linux apps. I hope someone has been able to find the solution! Thanks a lot!!! The fix should be in the latest update to the beta, which was rolled out a few days ago. Don't expect a very fast turnover on bugfixes for android right now though, we've got our hands full trying to make the 4.3 release for win/linux/macos devices this month.
