I am developing a workflow for my project using Krita where some layers may be edited by other programs. So I would like to edit a file layer ( and save of course ) in a another program, come back to Krita, and either have the file layer update automatically, or an option to update.

At this time, the only way I know how to do it is to close and reopen the whole document.

How can I go about updating the file layers without closing/reopening ( if possible )
