Projet/Presentation canvas mode

Mon Jun 01, 2020 10:14 am
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is any way to share a canvas-only mode in Krita to a secondary screen, but keeping the interface in the main screen.
This would be useful for live performance as well as timelapses.

Let's say we are drawing live and we want people to see what we draw on the screen, with the actual canvas-only mode people also see the switching back and forth with the interface to select layers and so on, and also the zooming in and out which can be disorienting for the viewer.

It would be great to have an option that shares only the static canvas (no zoom in and out, no interface) and its progression.

Is there something similar to this feature?

Thank you in advance,
Best regards

Funnily enough, we do have a number of features for this.

The primary one is making a new window (via window->new window) and then in that new window, opening a new view of your image (window->new view->document name).

The second one is to use a window layout that puts all the dockers into a separate window from the canvas. We ship a window layout that does this, just go to the workspace switching and select 'cockpit', it ought to provide a basic configuration.

Hi Wolthera,

Wow, I didn't know about this feature, that's incredible!
The first solution works perfectly for me. I didn't find the cockpit workspace, but I don't think I will need it.

Thank you very much! :)

That feature is only available in Krita 4.3.0 :-)

I personally love to make PowerPoint presentations and I always strive to make them as special and attractive as possible. I admit that three years ago I was not good at this and I made thousands of mistakes because there was no one to teach me how to do them correctly. I decided at one point that I should look for how to make them as good as possible and I was very lucky with this site https://slidepeak.com/blog/10-common-mi ... dents-make where all the mistakes that you can exclude when making a PowerPoint are explained. I hope it helps you too.
