Have you tried a different brush preset? Some brushes are sharper than others, because sometimes a soft edge is necessary for some effects. If that doesn't solve it, could you share a screenshot?

That link needs a sign-in with a Google account which some people don't have and some people may not want to use.
It would be generally better to use Google Drive with a public download link or Imgur or a similar sevice. 4GB of RAM is more than enough for this so you don't need to try another computer. Are you using Basic-5 Size or basic-5 Size Opacity? |

That's a GDrive sharing link for sharing with other Google users who then need to sign in to see it (and link it to their Gdrive if they want to).
You need the 'link for anyone' link that looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByWOGF ... p=drivesdk and which gives immediate display and download capability. |

Now that you've changed the 'mode' of the link, I can open it for immediate viewing and download - thank you
![]() (Everything has so many options and that is confusing at first but you quickly get used to it all.) Are you new to just krita or to digital image painting in general? I think that what you're concentrating on, in the brush editor screenshot, are the individual pixels which are visible along the edges of the stroke. Is that so? Seeing individual pixels along the edges is quite likely in the brush editor because it's not a very high resolution presentation (but this may depend on the size and resolution of your monitor). The important thing is how the brush stroke looks on the canvas when you paint/draw there. You're using a 1600 x 1200 canvas which is ok for making images to be shown on medium sized computer screens but if you want a high resolution image to be printed or to be seen on a larger modern screen then you need a higher resolution canvas. e.g the A4(300 ppi) one that will give you a 3508 x 2480 canvas. Even with a high resolution canvas, you'll see jagged edges when you zoom in because that is the nature of digital images. You can't paint/draw anything smaller than a pixel. I suggest that you try working on an A4(300 ppi) or larger canvas to see how that works out for you with how you feel about the stroke appearance. |
