Hello. I have already posted about this on krita-artists but thought I should post here too so more eyes see it.

Basically, the problem is that with the current template, I get the following error output on startup:

Code: Select all
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sip'

In the appimage, Krita finds the module `sip` at `usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/PyQt5/sip.so`. This file is provided by the package `python3-sip-PyQt5` in Void Linux at the same path (`/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/PyQt5/sip.so`), and is installed on my setup, yet Krita throws the error at startup. Even the version numbers seem to be the same (4.19.19).

The error message disappears by installing the package `python3-sip` which seems to be a bit of a hack since the appimage doesn't need this.

Any ideas on why Krita might not be detecting the installed `sip` module on Void? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
