Hi all,
Every time I draw an object on the canvas, it gets baked into the canvas. I'd like to return to the object later, modify or copy it. Is it possible? Thanks in advance for the help |

Create a vector layer if you want to work with editable objects: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/l ... -of-layers

Are you meaning drawing directly onto the canvas layer, or drawing on a separate layer?
Forgive me if I'm making any assumptions about your skill level, if you open the Layers Docker, click the (+) icon on bottom left, that will give you a new layer that isn't 'baked' into the canvas. If you click the little downward-facing arrow next to it, you can specify what type of layer you want. By default, Krita creates a new Paint Layer, but if you select 'Vector Layer', you can use most of the tools to create vector shapes, which can be dragged, scaled etc. Once you have separate layers, you can modify them however you want to without affecting the base canvas. Even objects on separate Paint Layers can be modified and transformed. I hope this helps! |
