Hello again!

Here I come with an unusual question:
Is it possible to disable the "purple highlight border" of the Move Tool?

I want to do a (simple) digital puppet show, and without the the border it woult be possible by using krita (recording the screen, and cutting out some intermissions after).

Otherwise I would like to know if there's another software I could use for "live puppet acting"!

;D

I'm sorry, but without hacking the code and recompiling Krita, that's not possible at the moment.

--> Ouuu, maybe, I should try to analyze / change the code - NOT!

You could also temporarily use an older version from before when we added this feature, but to be honest, I'm not sure when that was. Development is fast & furious and I don't remember when what happened with any accuracy.

I was kidding :).

I know what it means to write software, and know exactly that krita is a "big thing".

Meanwhile I got the idea to animate regulary. This would be easy enough (the Elements just shall move completely - no walk cycles, no mouth-animation...).

Hallo Meneer Boudewijn,

Dankjewel

The 'highlight border' of the Move tool is a content bounding box. If you have off-canvas content, such as a large unfilled rectangle about twice the size of the canvas, you can move canvas content with the Move tool cursor being off canvas and the bounding box being off-canvas.
This works for multiple independent layers.
With more than one layer, there can be lag depending how many layers you have and their size and the size of the off-canvas content.

(for the Dutch-challenged: reinstalling Krita never solves anything, it might be useful to reset the configuration instead: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... figuration)
