Outils Miroir

Merci

Hello, For some time I have noticed that the handle for moving the center of the "horizontal mirror" no longer appears! (the circle with two arrows at the end of the line)
Would I inadvertently click on an order, having deleted it? But still, even a reset of the
program changes nothing!

Has anyone had the same concern and how would he have done to correct this rather embarrassing situation!

Thank you

Using version 4.2.9 or 4.3.0 (Linux appimage), when I start krita and create a new document, the horizontal (and vertical) mirror lines always have a handle, on the canvas area.
It is possible to turn this handle off by using the 'Lock' option which is in the drop down list of the mirror tool button on the Toolbar. If you do this then that state will be stored in the .kra file.

Which version of krita are you using and which operating system?
You say, "For some time ...". Is this with a new start of krita and with a newly created document or is it with a particular .kra file?

Hi Ahabgreybeard
Thank you for your answer with which I hoped to solicit my problem! Alas that does not bring anything the situation remains unchanged the symbol remains ghostly. The current version is the update or 4.3.0 and the problem was already present with the previous version.

Whether it's a new doc or an old one, the problem remains unchanged!

To be honest, I was on the "Images" and "layers" tools, both where it is possible to manipulate the mirrors, nothing helps either !! (RRR) ?? Help please!

Thank.

There may be a misunderstanding here.
The 'Image' and 'Layer' menu items do have Mirror Image functions but these are one time operations which perform a single action on the image.

For the Mirror Tools, which give a dotted mirror line with a position adjustment handle, with continuous mirroring of painted stroke, these are on the Toolbar at the top of the main window, to the right of the brush size slider.

Hi Ahabgreybeard

Well here it is, this little symbol "round with the two arrows, at the end of the dotted line" that has disappeared! This disappearance no longer allows me to move or reposition this line

But how do you get it to reappear? That's my question !

Good to you.

Bonjour,

I've exhausted my knowledge of mirror tools and mirroring functions so it may be that someone else knows more about your problem and can help you better.
The manual has a small section on the Mirror Tools: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/mirror_tools.html
I hope that this problem can be solved soon.
