Hi!
I'm using Krita to make collages. I used to use Photoshop and there was some automatic lines to align the layers between themselves. I found a Krita's tool called Arrange (https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_man ... range.html) that seems to do the same thing, but I'm not getting how to use it. I saw something about "vector shapes", but I'm not sure how does it works or how to convert my .PNG images into a vector shape. Could someone reccomend a tutorial about this tool? |

The Arrange docker is specifically for arranging/aligning vector shapes, either individually on the canvas or within a grouped set. It operates on the vector objects on a single layer.
The best way to learn about it is to play with it and see what it does. If you already have painted objects (i.e on a raster/paint layer) then you can 'arrange' them manually by selecting them, probably with the Outline Selection Tool or maybe the Contiguous Selection tool (or other selection tool) if they're suitable for that, then using the Move tool to move them or the Transform tool to rotate/scale/move them. Ideally, each painted object would be on a different layer so you can overlap them if desired. In that case, you don't need to select them to differentiate them from other painted objects on the layer, you just use the Move tool. You can't convert a painted object into a vector object but you can select its outline, using the various selection tools, then make a vector shape from the selection outline. You'd lose any painted texture or colour variation if you did that of course. |
