wacky columns  Topic is solved

Wed Aug 05, 2020 2:19 pm
Hey, I'm attempting to create my own brushes but I'm having an interface problem with how krita displays the columns. They are impossibly narrow for me to make out any of the setting descriptions and there doesn't seem to be any way to drag them wider. Has anyone else come across the same problem? Is there a way to work around it?

I've tried to turn on "show guides" trying to get little pop-up texts in hopes to circumvent the problem but for some reason it doesn't react the specific column.

Edit: I've also tried to toggle my PC's configurations such as font size and resolution as some programs has an issue adapting to 4k. It had an effect on Krita's text size but it didn't solve the problem.

If the topic is discussed in some other thread could someone kindly point me to it since I'm not really sure what I'm searching for at this point. And if nothing else, I'd appreciate if someone could take a screenshot of the said columns so I could at least figure out what they stand for. I know this isn't an ideal solution but it'd be something.

Here's how it looks on a 1280 x 1024 screen: https://postimg.cc/K3g2gvv5

Can you try Settings -> Configure Krita -> General group -> Window tab, then toggle the state of Enable Hi-DPI support to see if it makes a difference.

Oh man, you're a lifesaver! That totally worked. I've been using Krita for almost two years now without the hi-DPI support. I suspected that the problem had something to do with that, but never actually got around fixing the problem. I just cranked the icons to max size and decided not to look a gift horse into it's mouth. I might acutally go back to disabling the hi-DPI support after I made my brushes since I kinda got used to the minuscule icons, and dockers.

Thanks buddy, you're the man!
