today I uninstalled krita 4.2.9, and installed 4.3.0, drawn a little, wanted to export (as .png, for example), but the menu did not open! Explications:

- System: Kubuntu
- Installation: With "Discover"
- Uninstalled, did a restart ( ), installed again (the process ran TO quick, I would say) - same problem:...
- ...File --> Export --> Nothing happens. File --> Save As... --> Nothing happens...

This is not a big problem for me, but I wanted to report it anyway.

you're probably using the snap version instead of the deb or the appimage. Use the appimage; the snap version might not have the rights to actually access the file system with 4.3.0.

You are right - but I did not know that there's something like a "snap version". I this case I do not understand why it is integrated in a paket-manager, because it is nearly useless without any options to save the work...

I know... And the person maintaining the snap package for Ubuntu did fix it, but that was too late for release. The only official Linux builds are the appimages.
