Hi all!
I want to be able to delete a layer's contents without the layer I'm working on inheriting the contents from below. It's been a bit frustrating and limiting when I just want to quickly try something and delete it, or make a huge mistake on a layer. I've illustrated what happens below. Any help is appreciated! Thanks. 1. I have a grey background layer, and added a new layer on top. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dpXZMlKtv5yQ_Y9ADcGKQEroVVkRtWYi/view?usp=sharing 2. I draw something on the new Layer. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IlgHcrZ21o36AEasb25KmUp0b6e-Jwne/view?usp=sharing 3. I do Ctrl (cmd) + A to select all, then Backspace to delete. Now my alpha is gone and the layer somehow inherited the background color. https://drive.google.com/file/d/16DlQ0hgx2Rnmbc3uQ9oBqoCiqj1ZPsE3/view?usp=sharing |

The 'backspace' key is the standard shortcut for Fill With Background Colour. You need to use the 'delete key' which is the shortcut for the Clear function.
