Is there a setting that would allow me to get ridd of the " Merged" suffix that is added when merging multiple layers and groups?

You probably ask in the wrong place, which application is this about?
Hint: there is a guided posting for the forum
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Oh Ya, sorry about that, I forgot that navigating this form is a little cumbersome. Could I ask for this post to be moved to Krita General Help or have it be deleted?
Again I'm sorry and thank you for pointing it out. |

Sorry, there isn't any option like that, and the issue is just too minor to go all the way of adding an option for it.

I know it's a really niche feature, but when dealing with several hundred of layers and groups it would be nice to be able to control stuff like that, but more then understandable to not implement a feature that only 0,0001 % of the userbase would realistically need or use.
Thank you so much for your reply. |

What I probably would do in your place would be to write a simple Python script that recursively goest through all layers and rename them if the name contains the merged string.
