Which version of Krita are you using?
Which operating system are you using?
Can Krita still load the png files as images?
Have you checked the blacklist files?

I'm using the latest version of krita 4.4 and Windows 10. Krita can still load the png files, the presets are in the right folder paintoppresets, named correctly just like yesterday. On the blacklist is nothing. I haven't changed anything from yesterday to today and now eighty brushes just don't get displayed.

Hm... PNG files shouldn't be in the paintoppresets folder, though, but in the brushes one. Could you zip up your entire resources folder including everything and share it wiith vurian@gmail.com (that's me...) so I can do some experiments?

well the png files aren't in the paintoppresets folder, I only used tgem to make the bushtips... the presets for these brushes are in the paintoppresets folder. but wait i have found something.. When I copy one of the missing paintoppresets the copy gets displayed with the correct icon in the brush panel..
if I copy each missing preset and check if it works correctly then I think this would be the quickest way, i will try do copy them first and will get back to you alright? perhaps it's some kind like bug or idk.. i will try something first and get back to you if i find it works..

For checking the blacklist entries, did you look in kis_brushes.blacklist or in kis_paintoppresets.blacklist (or maybe both)?
