Is this with a specific exr file, or all exr files? If it's a specific file, could you make a bug report and share the file?

It's just a ordinary exr file i rendered it in blender .saving it as OPENEXR and OpenEXR MultLayer .None of them can be opened.

Hm... I don't have problems opening exr files with 4.4.1 on Linux. Which OS are you using?

I've just rebooted to Windows and tried to open a bunch of exr files, and I didn't have any problems. I'm really puzzled now. What happens if you download the portable zip file version from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krit ... ows_Build/, unpack to the desktop and test with that?

okay, that's illuminating. I didn't test on any other drive than C:\ and the unicode path might do something as well. If the file:/// before the actual location isn't just a conversion error in the dialog, it's probably the real reason, though.

Still weird that I don't get this... Could I ask you to make a report at https://bugs.kde.org (use report bug from the help menu) and add an example file and this screenshot as attachments?

I'll try to look into it tomorrow morning.

Okay, belay that bug report... It looks like the non-ascii characters in the path really are the problem, and that it's caused by an update in the openexr library that tried to enable utf-8 paths.

I've pushed a possible workaround:

https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/c ... 7f057fd702

I'll start a new windows stable build. When done, please test it:

https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krit ... Build/942/
