So, I searched for a similar issue but couldn't find one. Maybe I'm trying to do something the program just doesn't like in general...thus why I'm here!
So, I wanted to create a textured canvas to use for watercolor. I created a new quick group, then changed the first layer into a transparency mask which I filled with a pattern (just the paper texture version 1, I believe). Then I went to create a new layer within the same group on top of the transparency layer. It seemed to work great, it did exactly what I wanted aesthetic wise, and I was able to paint for about a minute before the program just...closed. It froze for ~5 seconds, then closed. There are no crash reports generated from it. I have tried three times to do this and every time it has just closes out. I have the current 4.4.1 version and use an XP Pen tablet if that matters. I'm running on Windows. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks, ya'll. |

For the crash log, have you looked in %LOCALAPPDATA%? Maybe it would work to remove/move away all krita related things there, try with a clean config and reproduce the issue. If there's a krita-crash.log file, it would be better doable to investigate the issue.
