Hi. I'm new to Krita and to Digital Art Software in general, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. I've been working on a piece in Krita using two file layers as the background and several paint layers on top of them. I had been working on my piece for a while and like an idiot did not save. I noticed that next to my file layers there was a file icon and out of curiosity I clicked on the file icon next to them. Next thing I know, all of my layers, including the other file layer this one was on top of have disappeared, the layer is now just a paint layer called Layer 1, and the Overview tab next to Advanced Color Selector and Tool Options has disappeared. The absolute worst thing about this is that no matter how much I click the undo button nothing happens and because I didn't save it at all, and if I have to close the program without saving to fix it, all the work I did today will be useless and I got done something that I had trouble doing.
I am willing to close without saving to fix it if that's the only solution, but I really only want to use it as a last resort, so if there is anything I can do to fix it, please help!!!!! Any suggestions would really be greatly appreciated!!!! |

Update, I accidentally hit x on it, and when it asked me if I wanted to save I hit cancel, but it still closed, and when I opened it back up it had saved with the file thing and so now I have not only lost everything I did today but I also lost everything else I did on it and I can't get it back and I'm currently having a meltdown and I waited for like a few hours and no one responded and I get it but also I now have no clue what to do or how to fix it, and it was a present for my sister and that's like 12 hours of my life wasted

I found the original so I just have to redo what I did today so that sucks ****, but at least I didn't lose everything.
